8/2011:
- Equitation Inspiration Training has moved
to a more spacious location at Classic Equestrian Center, and my horses
are all finally in the same barn! We completed the move this week, and
I'm just finishing a few final touches. We are now in the first barn as
you drive past the hay barn and wash racks. I now have a separate
office and tack room, a large area for sitting outside, separate locker
area for boarders, a fly system in the barn, and there are a few stalls
still available!

In front of my new office!
Soxy, Crimson, and Missy Too are ready to go... |

Riding Nallie in the Dressage arena |
- I have added 3 horses to my stable,
all different from each other, and so talented in their own ways to
bring valuable experience to my students! Please welcome "Love My
Lucky Socks", aka "Soxy", here since January, "Seems Like a Dream",
aka "Nallie", with me since March, and my latest edition "Once In A
Lifetime", aka "Sonny" just arrived August 6! They are all young,
and very smart and talented! I'm so excited about their prospects
for lessons, showing, and trail riding too!
- Sammi and Missy Moo are available for
lease or half-lease! If you would like to take a step toward
horse-ownership, let me know! Leasing a horse can be an excellent
way to see if you are ready to own a horse, and gain some freedom to
spend time with "your horse" on your own schedule! My leases are
customized to your needs, and often include lessons/training.
- I am introducing some new programs,
starting September 1, to bring us together and save you money too!
- Family rates - multiple family members will receive a
discount when they take lessons together
- Parent/child days - parent can ride in a lesson for free
once a month with their child (who is in a monthly
private lesson program)
- Funny Fridays - come join us at the barn for food and drinks
-- admission price is you have to bring a joke to share!
5:30-6:30 every Friday
- Wi-fi hotspot is available!
For $5 per month, you can use my wi-fi while at the barn! It is 3G
now, until 4G comes into the area. I use it all the time, and it
works just great. Very cool!
6/2011: EHV-M strikes!
An outbreak of a rare strain of Equine Herpes Virus at a show in
Utah, caused a lockdown at Classic Equestrian Center, for the health and
safety of our horses. Many shows throughout the Southwest and
California were cancelled, including ETI Corral 118's June show.
After three weeks of waiting and watching, the panic was finally over
and we have returned to normal (for us, anyway!)
5/2011: Lily Young and Missy Too return to the show ring
Lily and Missy Too attended the second show of the year for ETI
Corral 118, along with Robbi-Kay Pederson who brought Missy Moo to
prepare for shows later this year. While "the Missy's" were a
little bit too attached to each other, Lily did an outstanding job
of getting Missy Too to remember her job, and they ended up with the
a Reserve High Point once again! Way to go Lily!!
5/1/2011: Aimee rides Soxy in a Dressage test to honor Dutch
Heartbroken and bleary-eyed, Aimee could think of only one way to
show her respect for the great horse that Dutch was -- she competed
Socks in the Dressage show being held at Classic, instead of
scratching. Of course, we are certainly nowhere near where
Dutchie was in his life of achievements, but Socks carried a bit of
Dutch's forelock in a braid in his forelock, and we hoped to do him
justice. Socks succumbed to a case of nerves, and we scored a
54, but still managed to win the medal for Dutch.
4/30/2011: Tom Quinn and Anthony Giangrasso mourn the sudden loss of
their horse Dutch
Our sweet Dutch passed away due to a sudden and severe colic
episode. We will always miss him. Rest in Peace, Dutchie-doo.
4/2011: Lily Young and Missy Too make their Horse Show Debut!
Lily and Missy Too (Love You Missy) took ETI Corral 118 by storm,
pulling off Reserve Hi Point rider in Western and English 11-14
division! Chelsea Reese and PattySue Billings also showed with
us for the first time, and won just about every time in (unless they
were in the same class, where they shared top placings!)
Congratulation Team Equitation Inspiration!
3/2011: Aimee and LoveMyLuckySocks (Soxy) make their Dressage Show
Debut!
The skies cleared just in time for the first Dressage Show at CEC
in 2011. After quite a bit of downtime from the rains, we went
ahead and gave it our best to start Sock's career as a Dressage
horse! By just a slight margin we were able to win our
Training Level class with a 60.8. I figure that's a good place
to start, and we have some great comments to use as well!
2/2011: Welcome "Nallie" to the lesson horse program at Equitation
Inspiration Training!
Well, maybe not right away! Nallie is a 4 year old
Paint/Thoroughbred mare, just beginning her career! First she
needs to be "broke" and ridden for many, many hours before she will
be part of the lesson horse team, but look out! This one's a
real smart cookie and adorable too!
1/8/2011: Equitation Inspiration family mourns the loss of "Chuckie
Te"
A huge loss to my training program, and my heart. Chuck had
lung cancer, undiagnosed until it was too late. He will be
sorely missed. So many great memories of his true-blue Quarterhorse
character. There will never be another horse like him.
1/2011: Welcome "LoveMyLuckySocks" to the the lesson
horse program at Equitation Inspiration Training!
A great addition to my lovely group of horses, "Socks" arrived just
after Christmas. A sweet, sweet soul, with soft brown eyes and
very long legs, Socks is a 6 year old thoroughbred gelding. I will
be riding him for a while, to learn all about him before he is available
to students, but he is already impressing me with his response to trail
rides, dressage schooling, and even a day at the beach! Welcome
Socks!
10/2010:
Aimee & JoeJoe make their Dressage Show Debut!
Joe (His registered name is "My Sidekick") and I competed in the CEC
Dressage show on Sept. 18. Bright and early on Saturday morning,
Joe and I got all spiffed up to perform 2 dressage tests. First,
we rode the Training Level Test 4. We received a 63.6 - which is a
very good starting point! One horse in-between, and we were in the
arena again to ride the First Level Test 1. Joe seemed a bit tired
(and me too...) and we received a 55 to reflect that! It's not a
bad score, either, but it can definitely be improved upon!

6/3/10 - Lesson Program moves to fabulous new
location!
I moved my horses to a beautiful facility, just in time to enjoy
the summer! We are just down the road from where we were
before, but it's really worlds apart!
The facility is like a park, with 6 different arenas, a very
large round pen, acres of groomed trails to ride, 10 turnouts -- the
horses are very happy already.
Click here to visit their website - my own video and photos are
on the way!
I
am adding a special class: a 2-hour Horsemanship class, so we can
work in the arena, on the trail and also spend time learning and
practicing other horsemanship skills. See
Services for more info.
New
Perpetual Trophy established to honor Crimson & Clover - Aimee's Super
lesson horse!
I've always wanted to acknowledge Crimson's unique and wonderful
talents over these past fifteen years she's been with me, and now
I've found it: I'm donating a perpetual trophy to
ETI Corral 118's
Super Horse competition! The trophy will have the name of
the horse & rider who win the Super Horse competition each year,
engraved on a plaque. Crimson is still such a wonderful
horse, and so important to my lesson program!
Each winner gets to keep the trophy for the year, and receives a
plaque at the end of the year to acknowledge their accomplishment.
